Update
Announcing an update to ClickMobile Touch for Field Service Edge on Android - Version 20.5.0 planned to be released on May 30, 2021.

The Beta version will be made available on May 2nd, 2021 for testing purpose. The instructions for the Beta test are mentioned below.

This release requires possible action on your part to ensure no disruption to end users. Please see ‘How will it impact you?’ section below. This release contains bug fixes, see ‘what is fixed in this release?’ section for more details.

MAINTENANCE INFORMATION:
======================

In our persistent efforts to keep our customers' data safe and secure, we are constantly strengthening the security standards of our products. With the upcoming MR08 release, we are going to update our ClickMobile Touch Apps (Android only) to block any references to non-secure HTTP code or site from the app and allowing only HTTPS (secured) sites.

What is changing?
==============

Currently, ClickMobile Touch OOTB resources work with a secure connection (HTTPS) only. However, there are certain configurations that allow referencing HTTP code (Native App Launcher / Embedded customization with HTTP site / etc..). The current Android code allows this configuration, which is not aligned with the security standards. Therefore, we will need to disable this option from our Android app.

Planned Date:
===============

The planned date for the ClickMobile Touch app release has been changed to Sunday, May 30th, 2021 that was previously scheduled on May 11, 2021.

We will post this release to the Google Play mobile application store on Sunday, May 30, 2021 for ClickMobile Touch Android (version 20.5.0).

Please note it may take up to 48 hours from the date listed above for the updated version to clear third-party vendor reviews and propagate out to the regional app stores. If any additional delay is encountered, we will make every effort to update this maintenance notice as soon as we have more details.

For customers who would like to participate in early access Mobile Beta:

Use this link Beta test on Android and follow the instructions: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.clicksoftware.ClickMobileTouch

How will it impact you?
=================

Once we disable this option from our Android app, every HTTP reference will fail with an error related to clear text not permitted.

What actions do I need to take?
======================

We need you to ensure that you change any existing HTTP references in the Native App launcher or customizations to HTTPS to ensure there is no impact once we make this change. Please refer to this Knowledge article for more details:

What is Fixed in this Release?
======================

[Android] Supports new location usage rules
[Android] Disable ability to use HTTP references in customizations/configurations
